Z Freedman Landscape Architecture is a design studio focused on the seamless integration of the natural environment with built structures. ZFLA strives to create custom solutions for every scale project with acute attention to site analysis, history, use, climate, materiality, and connections to the surrounding environment. The studio is founded on the goals of creating sustainable, site specific landscapes, designed to reduce water use and lower maintenance. Zack Freedman is the Principal Landscape Architect at Z Freedman Landscape Architecture. He has over 15 years of experience, working on a range of projects including commercial and residential landscape design, urban design, environmental planning and analysis, civic space, greenways, and parks.  As a landscape architect, he strives to create seamless integration with the surrounding architecture, low maintenance, drought tolerant landscapes and unique forms with function. 

Zack’s broad interest in environmental systems and design has inspired him to collaborate with a dynamic collection of firms, organizations, clients and North America’s finest architects.
